I was given the honor of studying in the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences back in the summers of 2016. I wanted to choose a good university for my bachelors and in this stead, I asked my seniors and my relatives. Some answered NUST, some said UET, some said FAST. I chose FAST for my future studies after discussing with my parents and cleared the entry test. It was not far until I realized that the way you study in college is very different from how you study in University. In University your horizon is as broad as you can make it. You can learn as much as you want. Albeit, the syllabus is defined and confined but the resources are potentially infinite. The more you explore the topic the more you get into its depth and this helps you discover other dimensions of the topic. At my time in university I studied from multiple resources, I used to go on internet to find the best books related to that subject, this is why I scored good. It won’t be medically correct to call your brain a muscle but the analogy I am going to draw is not bogus and has been proven in various scientific studies. When you train your muscles, they become stronger, the same happens with our brain, the more we train it the more our neural networks are toned. The question of how is rather interesting but simple. Read! As much as you can. Read books, newspaper, blogs, stories whatever you like. I read allot and this helped me allot because first, you have the temperament and practice of studying long when needed and second, you improve your neural connections and focus. I took part in allot of activities in my starting semesters and I was the general secretary of our Engineering society so managing co-curricular activities with studies is what you learn in University .Last but not the least, I would consider it important to mention the role my teachers and mentors played in my journey. Instructors in FAST are very helpful and they are available for mentorship all the time. I have had gone to my professors in times of need and had never returned unfulfilled. The culture diversity in FAST is something you experience when you come out from college. FAST made me believe that everything is possible if we make it put our focus and energy into it.
