Interests / quote
It is with great joy and pride that, I am able to say, I have achieved some form of academic feat in my university life. National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (FAST) has awarded me with two medals in my life. One silver medal in the second semester and another silver medal in sixth. Putting aside the awards, since I have been given the platform, I would like to talk about setting one’s values .It is extremely important that you value the things that really matter. Do not put value on yourself based on what GPA you are getting or how many awards you are getting. If you do that chances are, if you are overachieving then you will develop hubris in your attitude and if you are underachieving you will be frustrated and depressed. Rather, you must value effort, learning and sincerity as these things will remain eternal in your life. GPA and awards are just the byproduct of these. I never have a GPA goal or something, I just learn with sincerity and effort and the rest follows. To be completely honest, my awards are going to sit on my shelf collecting dust and the most I will get out of them is a sentence in my CV. But my curiosity for learning, hardworking effort and my sincerity towards myself and others will remain with me throughout my life. So for a short gain, yes, GPA is enough but for a lifetime of gain, work on your values and other things will come to you eventually. Lastly, I am extremely grateful to my teachers and my university for showing me these values in life and for giving me an opportunity to gain knowledge and learn. FAST has helped develop my character and I hope it continues to do so for the next generations to come.
