Deep Learning Based Vehicle Identification and Classification System In this project, artificial intelligence in the form of deep learning neural networks is being utilized to devise a vehicle type identification and classification system. As crime rate related to vehicles is increasing day by day, there must be a monitoring system for the identification of vehicles. So, this project is being offered in collaboration with Safe City Islamabad with the intent of further extending its capabilities of the currently deployed solutions. This system requires a camera module to acquire snapshots which would be processed locally and at a central server. Then this system would apply a combination of Deep Learning Algorithms utilizing Neural Networks and Image Processing techniques on the camera snapshots to classify the subject vehicle as motorbike, car, van, truck etc. It would also be able to identify the make/brand of the vehicles (i.e. Toyota, Honda, Suzuki etc.). The Deep Learning Neural Network would continuously get updated as it is fed with the new data. This would ensure that the system continues to evolve with time, producing accurate results. \
