Automated Rainwater Conservation System

This project aims to harvest rainwater. Water is a precious resource. Drinkable water is either
getting contaminated or water tables are lowering due to over pumping, climate change and
mismanagement of water resources. Only 2% of the Earth’s fresh supply of water is locked in ice
caps and glaciers, while 97.5% of the earth’s water is saltwater. So, there is a pressing need to
conserve and harvest water.
Rainwater Conservation System stores rain water after testing its quality using TDS and Turbidity
Sensors for long term use. Necessary filtration is done to make the stored water drinkable. If water
is not potable, then it can be utilized for other household purposes like cleaning, washing, flushing
and bathing. The system also features real-time remote monitoring of sensor data through cloud
and generates alarms to signal storage depletion.
