Muhammad Soban Younis (I18-0889) 
 
I, Soban Younis, am honored to call myself a High Achiever at the National University of Computer 
and Emerging Sciences, having received a Silver Medal in the second semester and maintained my 
name in the Dean’s List of Honor. 
I have always had an aspiration to working hard with complete honesty and integrity, though 
before joining university I was not among the brightest students. When I got enrolled in the 
Electrical Engineering program here, I saw myself perform well academically, which gradually 
inculcated this passion for computer hardware and its programming in me. With the ideologies and 
the theories portrayed by some of my esteemed professors here at FAST, I found myself being inclined 
to learning new concepts and doing personal research over it as it naturally kept on sparking my 
interest. Other than that, FAST also gave me the opportunity to take part in multiple extra-
curricular activities for example being part of societies, where I am currently the Vice President of 
one, and other flagship events, which helped me build my confidence and polish my people skills. It 
taught me a great deal about event management, marketing strategies etcetera. In all, it was an 
honor to be a part of this journey at a reputed university like FAST. It came with its ups and downs, 
like all adventures, but nevertheless it shaped the person that I am today, graduating as a High 
Achiever and I could not be more grateful for that. My only advice to the students catching up on 
this ride would be, that hard work never fails you in the long run, be it academically or in any other 
sector, so never give up on it.
