Ayesha Ishaq (I18-0772) It is with great honor and pride that I, Ayesha Ishaq, am able to call myself a High Achiever at the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences in the Electrical Engineering Department, a Gold Medalist at the end of every semester as I have managed to maintain a spectacular CGPA of 4.0 since the start. Before joining FAST, I was consumed by the rumors about how maintaining a good GPA is not a practice most get accustomed to in this university. This developed an unsettling fear inside of me, over whether I would be able to perform well. However, once I got enrolled in the Electrical Engineering program here, I came across some highly qualified professors that were always ready to provide assistance to help improve my academic stance. With their support paired with my determination and hard work, I managed to pull myself through the pressure and ended up attaining excellent scores and grades in almost all courses. I found myself developing a newfound interest in the field of computer engineering, which I later ended up choosing as my major. Apart from the academic performance, FAST gave me uncountable opportunities to work on my soft skills that needed polishing through multiple extra-curricular activities, which helped me pave my way into becoming the President of one of the university’s esteemed societies. To sum it all up, it was an exceptional experience, to be a part of FAST with its fair share of peaks and valleys. The advice that I would like to put forward for the students would be: set your goals, but always keep an open mindset and be adaptive to changes, be content with the situation and try to make the best out of it.
