Al-Driven Digital Shadow Framework for Real-time Drone Swarm Coordination In Critical Missions This project aims to design and implement a Digital Shadow-based monitoring system for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), which can serve as an important support system for future defense operations. The lack of reliable real-time health monitoring and maintenance systems in existing UAVs is a major reason for unpredicted technical failures during acute missions. Studies indicate that UAVs experience system failure rates of nearly 20-30% during missions, mainly due to delayed fault detection, limited sensor data analysis, and the absence of predictive maintenance mechanisms. This project addresses these issues by continuously monitoring the internal health of UAVs in real time and supporting condition-based maintenance to improve reliability and mission success. UAVs are widely used in modern warfare to perform surveillance and strategic support tasks while reducing risk to human personnel. Digital Shadow is a virtual representation of a physical UAV that reflects its real-time operational and health status, allowing early fault detection, maintenance planning and enhanced operational decisions in dynamic environments.
