Therefore, after completing over two years in a professional multinational environment in the telecommunications sector as an engineer with Telenor, I started my MBA to nurture my true potential and to get an insight into the managerial side of things. IBA was the right place for me to take a step into this relatively new world and give myself an edge over the rest of the engineers out there. IBA has not only contributed a lot towards polishing my managerial business skills but most importantly has offered me the opportunity to gain experience in some of the leading corporate organizations. In that, internship in the Supply and Distribution department at Shell Pakistan Ltd proved to be a very productive learning experience for me. Apart from that, I also got the opportunity to work in the Specialty Chemicals Marketing department at ICI Pakistan Ltd. However, the icing on the cake has been my acceptance at Tsinghua University in Beijing, as an exchange student from IBA. Tsinghua is the number one university in China and its business school is highly accredited and affiliated with MIT Sloan. I have recently concluded my third semester there and obtained a broader more diverse perspective by studying with some of the best students from the top universities around the world. All this could never have been possible without the support of IBA. Furthermore, I have actively been a part of the IBA Marketing club and have had the opportunity to work closely on marketing activities. I feel that a world of opportunities awaits me and I’m looking forward to a fulfilling career with ample growth and learning prospects ahead.
