Bilal Saeed 0300-9200283 saeed.bilal1@gmail.com Date of Birth: September 26, 1983 General Management Knowledge is my passion. I seek to learn something new each day. I thrive on challenging myself and exploring my potential. The Institute of Business Administration is the first business school in Pakistan and has retained its legacy for over fifty years. Its heritage and strong roots encouraged me to apply here. With thousands of graduates that have gone to obtain leading positions in international entities, I was sure it will provide a training ground to groom me further for the future. Its new vision that brings about change and higher quality in education only added to the appeal it held for me. IBA is successfully restructuring its MBA program and I feel the level of education is extremely high. Courses mostly apply case methodology with a little dab of theory. We get to step into the shoes of real life managers and leaders who have had to truly contemplate corporate dilemmas and understand which road to take. This transforms our perception and enables us to evaluate/think from a strategic, highplane. IBA is slowly evolving, and with it, the students will too. I feel the changes within myself and know I am not the same man I was when I walked into the first day of the MBA program. I am more confident, more informed, and more aware both in and out of the class. I have met people from versatile backgrounds with interesting experiences from different businesses. During my Masters in Marketing at the Manchester Business School, I was exposed to a diverse number of cultures. However, I felt truly at home meeting people here. I felt they added to my knowledge. I am a simple but an effective engineer and learnt to think from a marketer's point of view in England. Yet I craved more. And as I said, I love to learn. I wanted to discover variant business modules and learn how to integrate them that is the primary reason I decided to do my Masters in Business Administration. I wanted to sharpen and hone my management skills as I feel that to be a true leader you must not only know how to manage a corporation-but how to manage its people. I feel it is essential for managers to keep employees happy and motivated as they will take ownership of their tasks and will desire to strive the extra mile. IBA has definitely added value and I view it as a long term investment. My stay has definitely been a happy one and has rept memotivated these past 18 months.
