When I was selected as a Management Trainee at SBP after a strenuous recruitment process, I knew I had to earn my place in a field dominated by finance graduates and bankers. When I became the product manager single-handedly managing and implementing a revolutionary project that encompassed the entire organization, it became evident that my route to pinnacle is set. With a diverse set of experience ranging from Marketing to Central Banking and to Consultancy coupled with frequent interactions with highly qualified individuals, I realized it was time to strengthen my portfolio and hone my skills and abilities. The significance of higher education also became more evident to me, as climbing up the corporate ladder solely on the basis of an undergraduate degree was synonymous to an arduous journey. As an alumnus, returning to IBA seems more of a natural choice, but times have changed and so has IBA. The alma mater has emerged as a prestigious regional business school with a complete overhaul of infrastructure, new strategic alliances with international schools and a revised curriculum. A challenging faculty, competitive deadlines for projects, and the introduction of MBA research project – where academic principles meet business practices, cemented my decision for IBA. The IBA MBA Program has been an enriching learning experience, and my professional exposure in marketing, organizational development, and management has armed me with a uniquely balanced skill set. I admire the various challenges; IBA has put me through every day for one soul reason – to be the best at what we do. Nearing graduation, I see a transformation in myself that is a unique combination of professional skills and academic excellence. As a professional, I have opened myself up to disciplines I had never considered before. I envision myself returning to the corporate sector to work with a dynamic organization that values its human resources, where I can leverage my experience to facilitate initiatives that promote learning for self, team, and company. I have a particular interest in Brand Development, Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain Management and would like to see myself in a good position in a top-notch organization of Pakistan.
