After completing my BBA,I found a compelling career in the fields of market research and data analysis. I led a team of officers to perform analysis on consumer insights dataabout their experience with our client’s brands. The changing trends were then reported to clients in the form of presentations. I later joined banking sector and worked in customer relationship management by solving their day to day operational queries. During the tenure of both of my jobs, I realized that apart from hard skills sufficient enough to meet the client’s requests, I needed to gothe extra mile and refine my soft skills for better customer relation management.Thus, when I realized the need to refresh my academic knowledge and strengthen my soft skills, I chose none other than IBA. Many universities in Pakistan are offering MBA degree, but the MBA program of IBA is a whole package that nurtures both hard and soft skills of its graduates. IBA provides a platform that not only equipped me with contemporary academic knowledge, but alsopolished soft skills like leadership, interpersonal communication and innovative thinking in me. IBA justifies its tag line of leadership and ideas for tomorrow by challenging students in case study methodology that fosters out of the box thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills in pressure environment. IBA is in a transitional phase towards excellence and for this it welcomes new ideas at all levels. During my stay at IBA, I realized that MBA students had no exclusive platform for social linkages among themselves. I, along with a few MBA colleagues, pitched the idea for an exclusive MBA body which was approved straightway, and in less than a month’s time“IBA MBA Club” was established. This was one of the instances where IBA helped me develop leadership, problem solving and change management skills. In my five years of professional life I have led teams of 20+ officers by efficient resource allocation and constraints management to deliver time bound projects. I developed and implemented training manuals for my team to enhance work quality.My team consistently delivered quality work without missing a single deadline under my leadership. Seeing my dedication for work and team management skills I was given two promotions in three years of my tenure. During my banking career, I helped the branch increase its SME portfolio from Rs. 10 million to 25 million. I held 2nd highest appraisal in my branch, scoring the highest in operational capabilities and interpersonal skills. With my proven track record of business analytics and client relationship management along with the value added by IBA in my skill set, I consider myself well-prepared for the challenges that await me in the professional world. I am enthusiastic to apply my knowledge of marketing insight to contribute towards brand building of my prospective employer and generatemaximum value for the company. With my integrated knowledge in marketing, supply chain and finance I can take up strategic roles in an organization and contribute to its success.
