Interests / quote
Studying Science since college, my interest towards Chemistry made me choose Chemical Engineering for my undergraduate program. Another reason for selecting this field was its ever evolving applications in several industries and the knowledge of several manufacturing processes it encompasses. After studying almost 50 odd courses of Chemical Engineering with good grades too, it was during my junior year of the program when I started realizing that I don’t have to stay in the core engineering realms as part of my profession. I took interest in the management aspect of businesses and systems, enjoyed leadership stance, the development of systems, innovation and creative business solutions. In order to move towards these objectives, I had fully made up my mind to pursue business management field in the longer run. Soon after completing my undergraduate program, I joined Descon Engineering Limited to have some practical experience. This experience proved to be a valuable one as it not only provided me to think beyond, but was also taken into consideration by IBA during my MBA admissions &selection process. I felt blessed during my MBA program, when due to working with a giant setup like Descon Engineering Limited, I was able to relate and comprehensibly understand the lectures and case studies. In order to strengthen my managerial potential, to be self-aware, and to reach at the top in the management hierarchy, I decided to pursue MBA from IBA which not only provided me with a backbone of general management, but also made me learn how to solve different business problems and provided me with an understanding on management related issues along with some key business skills. Acquiring a technical degree in the field of engineering, an MBA was another feather in my cap which has widened my areas of thinking and management. By studying subjects such as finance, marketing, human resource management, organizational behavior and strategic management, I believe I can now create more value to any organization. My current career goal is to start off with a Marketing & Sales role, to perform extra ordinary in my field, and acquire a skill set which will direct me towards a higher management position in the coming years.
