Storytelling and art has always fascinated me. It captured my imagination and captured my interest since childhood. Media Studies from SZABIST was a passionate pursuit which I undertook with great zeal. During my studies I became accustomed to every aspect of Filmmaking and creative side of entertainment business. I started working even before I got hold of my degree at a logistic and freight management company and later joined a production house, a subsidiary of Hum TV Channel to continue my pursuit and so far it has been a wonderful journey with manyaccomplishments and success. Working at a Logistic company provided me a direct insight on how valuable the logistics network is to a company and how important role Supply Chain can play in providing value added services to its customers. The future of many businesses now relies on its Supply Chain Management and its ability to integrate various departments into working for a single objective that is customer satisfaction. The learning has been immense in the both industry whichprovided me an insight on how both industry works and helped me greatly to develop interpersonal and communication skills. Doing all well, but a key issue was related to growth in the corporate environment which seemed difficult without having knowledge or an understanding of how the business really operates. I felt that if I needed to climb the career ladder and achieve my ambitions,it was necessary to develop business understanding and expand my thinking horizon. For that matter, I decided to join IBA which is one of the prestigious institutes in this country and an asset which has provided many dignitaries to this nation. For this reason, it becamemy ultimate choice if I had to do an MBA. An institute with far reaching Alumninetwork across Pakistan with a credible and reputable name, I believed it was the only institute that could provide me the necessary skills and hone my existing ones for future. The experience of learning at IBA was an eye opener with great facilities, quality curriculum and experienced faculty which was no less than expected. The emphasis on developing soft skills, networking and host of activities happening at IBA made it an enriching experience. But what made it a really wonderful experience were my fellow students coming from various walks of life, all with wealth of knowledge and experience enriching the time spent studying, learning and networking to a whole new level. I want to become part of a growing industry with a challenging environment where I could use my diverse skills set in improving and developing process. The knowledge gained here has greatly widen my level of understanding of corporate and business environment and has provided me with necessary tools and skill set to make my mark in the industry. I hope this valuable experience at IBA provides me with the opportunity of a leading role in a multinational firm to enhance me both professionally and personally.
