As I approached my Bachelors graduation, I received a call from a multi-national bank in Dubai, UAE, to join their Trade Finance department. During my tenure which lasted almost 5 years, I realize that stepping up the ladder requires a professional degree preferably an MBA. The probe for a good university was extensive but I wasn't able to find a suitable university in UAE considering all aspects. I got a diverse exposure of working in an international environment, but stringent and cut throat competition made me realize the difference an MBA would make. I was certainly in a state of dilemma as quitting a job from UAE at that juncture and coming back to Pakistan with all the political uncertainties was a tough call but I believe it was worth taking a risk and at this very day I can proudly say that it paid off. IBA has a history of producing some of the best professionals working around the globe and upon joining IBA, I realized the reasons which make us stand out ahead of others, competing at the same level. The rigorous curriculum and meeting strict deadlines was exhausting at times but gave us a flavor of real life challenges that awaits us in the corporate world. My earlier professional experience in a multi-national bank and with my stretch at IBA has composed me to take up the challenges of the corporate environment and deliver efficiently. I have transformed my analytical and critical thinking skills to an extent that it would be help me in performing strategic rolls and build my career upon the same. IBA has always been a benchmark for me and during my stay on campus I realized that apart from my academics, I have modified my social interactive skills which in itself entails an element of self-confidence. I am seeking a career-oriented position in a challenging environment, providing opportunities for growth and advancement, where I can utilize my education and extensive experience towards becoming a valuable team member. I am willing to travel as I personally believe that it adds up to a person's credential as meeting with people from different cast and culture gives you a logical notion of how the society in general thinks and why people react differently from one another.
