I completed my BBA from International Islamic University, which equipped me with basic understanding of managementand communication skills. However, to make the skills more specialized, I needed to pursue MBA for which my first choice was IBA. IBA not only helped me in developing my technical subjects such as Economics, Marketing, Operations, Management, Accounting and Finance but our teachers also facilitated us in improving our soft skills including leadership, teamwork, ethics, and communication as well, which are very critical for effective management. Since MBA program at IBA requires two years of work experience, it attracts people from diverse industries and cultures, which provided me a lot of learning opportunities and an insight to many work fields. Not only this, MBA degree program offers access to a network of MBA students, alumni, faculty, and business & community leaders all around Pakistan which proves to be very useful when beginning a job search, developing a career path, building business relationships in current career, or pursuing expertise outside our current fields. In short, IBA opens a world of opportunities to us. Moreover, IBA, being one of the most reputed business schools of Pakistan, is a very strong brand name and thus, it is an honor for me to be associated with it. Going forward I hope to build my career in the field of marketing. I would like add value to the organization I am associated with by analyzing current and potential consumer markets to identify new business opportunities, employing the knowledge and skills I gained during my time at IBA. Furthermore, this institute has given me a confidence through enhancing my leadership and crisis handling skills with which I can utilize my knowledge and prior experience in a more efficient manner in order to gain a better understanding of the organization’s market, the emerging trends and to identify potential opportunities and threats.
