A business administration graduate, with a marketing degree, I discovered my passion for digital media which violated every rule that my 4 years of education taught me. This upcoming field of marketing provided me with an enriching experience in a rapidly changing field. As my understanding of this industry grew, so did my need for a master’s degree. An enriching MBA experience was needed to broaden my horizon and IBA was the perfect place for that.
IBA with its unsurpassable brand equity and recognition is one of the leading business administration institutes of Pakistan. Two years of job experience had made me value my Alma mater more for its strong brand equity, excellent repute and vast network of alumni. I was excited to return there again for my Masters and I am grateful now for having made the right choice.
The experience was vastly different from that of my bachelors since the case study style method of teaching made classroom learnings very rigorous. Being recognized via the Dean’s List proved to me that I was on the right track and was making the most of my academic experience. From the enriching classroom discussions to the methodology of case analysis the learnings this time around were very well rounded and proved to be a perfect blend of theoretical and practical knowledge application.
As I complete the final leg of this journey as a student I look forward to working in dynamic growth oriented organizations where I can apply my skills most effectively. With intense competition around I understand that this is no level playing field and one cannot drive forward using the rear view mirror.
The new world is connected and portable and it will be my job to ensure that my world views as well as the views of the brands I hope to work with are set in motion to embrace the change.
