During my tenure at IBA for my BBA I noticed a growing interest in sales and marketing. Over the years I have developed a keen interest particularly
in branding. Sales as field excites me immensely and over the years of my business education I can safely claim that marketing has become more or
less a passion.
During my bachelors I have interned at companies like Toyota in the marketing planning department where I was able to lay the foundations of my
marketing instinct. I was able to develop and better my skills to help the organization in their goal to promote sales via the right kind of marketing. I
also interned at agencies like Helium and Bulls Eye 360 and worked on a vast portfolio of brands ranging from cigarettes (Marlboro) to cell phones
(Nokia). I learnt about the agency side of marketing through these experiences and helped these respective organizations get better insights that helped
sculpture their marketing plans.
After completing my BBA I started work at Samba Bank as a personal banker. This job involved regular interaction with a wide variety of people that
helped polish my professional interaction skills out of college. I learnt various things, the most integral being people skills. I managed my portfolio and
was expected to contribute to the growth of the bank. This called for me to employ interpersonal skills to communicate with clients effectively.
After sufficient work experience I decided it was time to take another plunge into education this time armed with some experience of my own. I started
full-time MBA (Morning) in 2013. It has been a rewarding and learning experience and I believe that with each day I become close to getting my degree
my skills are increasing. I am looking forward to a challenging opportunity where I can apply my skills and knowledge, learning from my own and others’
experiences.
