Waqas Mahmood Marketing & Supply Chain 0301-8282807 / 0310-0103622 waqas.mehmood@khi.iba.edu.pk Date of Birth:13 Nov, 1988 “Talent is cheaper than table salt. What separates the talented individual from the successful one is a lot of hard work.” - Stephen King The most important thing that IBA taught me during the four years of Bachelors in Business Administration was the importance of hard work. IBA taught me time management and multi-tasking by providing me strict deadlines for different assignments. IBAalso broadened my horizon of thinking by providing me opportunities to interact with the most successful business leaders in the industry. And most importantly, it enhanced my soft skills and gave me the courage to express my ideas confidently.I only realized the importance of all the hard work that I put in those four years, when I started my professional career. I was quickly able to adapt to the challenges presented to me on job. Due to my excellent performance, I was soon promoted to a managerial position. And that opportunity polished my leadership and decision making skills further. I also got to interact with other business leaders from Italy, Turkey and China as part of my job, so it proved to be an excellent learning curve for me. But one should always keep striving for excellence. And my desire to enhance my skills set further to take up bigger challenges in the future brought me back to IBA where I am now pursuing MBA. It improved my strategic decision making further due to the case study method of teaching. I not only learned a lot during these two years of my life, but now I also feel that I have a greater responsibility as the flag-bearer of an institution that produced the country’s most successful business leaders over the last six decades. I am confident and eager to prove my worth in my professional career by utilizing my skills set and the knowledge that I gained during studies or at work, with utmost honesty, dedication and hard work as it is the only formula of success. 2015 P-108 MBA 2015 Institute of Business Administration, Karachi 3.82* BBA 2011 Institute of Business Administration, Karachi 3.1 Intermediate 2007 D.J.
