Undoubtedly, IBA has been one of the premier institutes of Pakistan ever since its inception 60 years ago. It has been producing quality graduates who have gone places and have been second to none in their professional lives. As a result, after having bachelor’s degree from LUMS, I believed that going to IBA would be another feather in the cap which could further boost my career prospects. A good MBA program is the one which pushes students to their limits through its rigorous learning curriculum. Consequently, students learn how to manage time effectively, take time out for themselves and maintain their work-life balance while not compromising on their productivity. IBA imparts similar sort of training to its students. Upon returning to my professional life after a two years’ break, I seek a position which further utilizes and enhances my teamwork and time management skills. But above all, in order to attain professional goals and climb the corporate ladder, a person needs to focus more on his core competencies. Finance has always been my forte and I wish to build myself further on it. Being part of CFA Program, and clearing its level 1 exam has benefitted me a lot in honing my finance skills. Moreover, the structure of finance courses offered at IBA have been close to the real world scenarios which gave me an opportunity to further broaden my perspective on this field.
