Interests / quote
I believe learning is a perpetual activity and one celebrates it throughout life. I always wanted to make it my passion and to capitalize on every opportunity which makes me part of such paradigm. Unlike many others, coming to IBA to get trained for MNCs was never my objective; involving into the science of management and to experience a culture of continuous learning and improvements in real life decisions was my intended direction. Fortunately, IBA facilitates its students with one of the most senior teachers and scholars available in Pakistan who help them achieve a certain level, where they can positively contribute to the society. Yes, IBA does not create managers, but ‘Leaders’ for tomorrow. Knowledge of everything is surely a good thing but one gains an edge only through specialization in a particular field. This is where the role of Master’s Degree comes in. Keeping in view my career objective, Master’s in Business Administration needed to act as a means to better comprehend the management concepts and grow in the field of finance, to be more specific, through advance learning and trainings provided to students. I hope to bring these learnt skills with an attitude of sincerity and hard work to the organization I work in. My experience in Meezan Bank Ltd. (MBL) as a Personal Banking officer started off in late 2011 where I was fairly given space to learn and perform. Grasping to the opportunity to work with the largest Islamic bank in Pakistan, I immediately recognized my roles and responsibilities and worked for the mutual benefit. Alhamdulillah, I was able to outperform with my team and we achieved an annual deposit figure of PKR 260 million for a small newly opened branch in 2012. Also, my team was able to surpass quarterly consumer product targets, consecutively. My interest in Islamic Finance has made me a self-learning individual in the particular subject and this passion had grown to an extent that I was honored to conduct Shariah trainings and discussions for my colleagues and sub-ordinates at MBL. I believe successes and profits are fallouts to one’s honest efforts. For that, I continuously strive to grow and prepare myself for the intensity of professional life in competitive world.
