Date of Birth: 08 Dec, 1988
Having completed my BBA from IBA in 2011, I am one of those students who have seen IBA’s transition phase under Dr. Ishrat’s leadership very
closely. In 2013, after completing my 2-year work experience, I returned to IBA to be the part of this change and the revamped MBA program. Apart
from the basic requirement of obtaining an MBA degree for improved job prospects, I was particularly attracted towards the improved quality of faculty,
course structure and course content.
I have been a part of the industry for 2 years and returning to university for another degree in the morning program seemed a huge trade-off. But it
paid off well. The MBA program at IBA brings together people from diverse backgrounds which results in healthy class discussions, creative experiences
and professional grooming. Also, the introduction of case-based study method by IBA has encouraged everyone to participate, communicate, debate
and negotiate actively in class. All these soft skills are vital to success in the real professional world.
I have worked for 2 years at HBL as a Management Trainee Officer. MTO program is a fast track program that offers accelerated career progress.
Being a finance major, working in the retail business planning and development was a huge challenge.Although I faced problems in the beginning, I
was able to achieve reasonable progress in planning and execution of various product plans.
I have been academically strong as a student. I got admission in both BBA and MBA program of IBA on merit scholarship. I have cleared CFA Level
1 and intend to pursue the certification. I have also cleared Stage 1 of ISQ-JAIBPin the first attempt and scored second highest marks in Pakistan for
the subject “Financial & Banking Regulations”.
My professional objective is to build a career in an organization that offers challenges and opportunities to grow personally and professionally. Specifically,
I aspire to work in a role that will enable me to utilize my analytical and interpersonal skills as well as my strong educational background, to contribute
towards the success of the organization.
