I had always got good grades in math and any other subject that was numerically oriented, because of which I even ended up teaching math tuition to O level kids. Keeping in line with what I enjoyed and learning to succeed in the corporate world, BBA from IBA was the next step in my plans where I was able to get admission on merit scholarship. Bachelors degree from Pakistans premier business school provided me with a comprehensive set of skills to aid my personal and professional development. My diligent efforts and verve for finance ranked me amongst the top 10 percent in the batch of over 300 students. During the four year bachelor program, I interned in two different sectors covering trade marketing and insurance. After completing my BBA in finance from IBA Karachi, and clearing level I of CFA, I decided to join the biggest private bank in Pakistan- HBL to sharpen my financial acumen. My job as a credit analyst gave me exposure to different industrial sectors and valuable insight into the working of a corporate giant. Within year and a half, my company rewarded my hard work by promoting me from an Assistant Manager to a Manager position.During this time I also cleared the remaining two level of CFA. I decided to pursue my MBA as further progression up the career ladder needed a broader skill set in management and leadership. Being an IBA alumnus, my first choice was this prestigious institute which provides practical learning experience and not only teaches leadership by text books but also provides opportunities to demonstrate it in actions and decision making. Although learning is an ever going process, I feel MBA has equipped me with the necessary skills to re-enter the corporate world and in time reach the top echelon of the business community.
