One of the best advices I ever got was “Find the 25th hour in a 24-hour day in order to be successful”. I believe that a person’s true benchmark is his potential. You need to realize your potential and be the very best at whatever you are doing. And in my opinion, educational institutions provide an excellent opportunity to unleash one’s true potential by offering a challenging and vibrant academic environment. This is exactly why I selected IBA because it symbolizes rich and diverse academic community. After one & half year at IBA, I can truly say that I made the right choice. IBA’s curriculum is rigorous, deadlines are mentally & physically exhaustive and the faculty is challenging;all which I had expected when I opted for IBA’s MBA. I have done BBA (Honors) from NUST Business School, Islamabad. My area of specialization was Finance. I always had a keen interest in dealing with numbers and perhaps naturally I was looking toward a career in Finance. I have three years of work experience in the Finance department of Pakistan Oilfields Limited. Since I was working in financial reporting section that involves data collection &coordination among all departments and section, what I learned from my experience was that an organization is like a meshwork of functions and no function can perform independently. Coordination and communication is the key to success. As a business graduate of IBA, I feel that I will be able to work in different environments and adapt to diverse areas in the company. My objective is to be associated with a growth oriented organization that offers long term career prospects with an opportunity to further develop my business skills.
