In a country where a mere fraction of females make it to university, pursuing a Master’s degree in Business Administration and that too with distinction from the oldest Business school outside North America brings along a responsibility I owe myself to, as well as a, commitment I feel obliged to. The proactive approach I have adopted throughout my life has steered me to pursue specialization in Human Resource Management so as to aptly bring to fruition my commitment by setting an antecedent for my female fellows and contributing positively to the society by cherishing and valuing the real assets of organization i.e. its human resource.

Sadaf Ijaz Human Resources 0334-2073070 sadaf.ijaz89@gmail.com Date of Birth: 29 July, 1989 In a country where a mere fraction of females make it to university, pursuing a Master’s degree in Business Administration and that too with distinction from the oldest Business school outside North America brings along a responsibility I owe myself to, as well as a, commitment I feel obliged to. My undergraduate degree egregia cum laude in Business Administration from IBA helped me in securing a coveted job at Standard Chartered Bank (SCB). The one year Management Trainee program gave me a holistic perspective of the banks' functions as I had the opportunity to work in Operations as well as Technology departments. Post placement, I managed the end-to-end implementation of International Banking Account Number (IBAN) project at SCB. This multilateral project, spread over a span of one year, involved interactions with business teams, local vendors and development teams located outside Pakistan. It effectively nurtured my team management, conflict management, risk management and effective communication skills. During my stay at SCB, I was also a member of SCB Employee Focus Group that drove employee engagement and CSR initiatives like interactive sessions with senior management. I led a diverse team of employees in Clean the Beach activity, a volunteer undertaking that strengthened my interpersonal and leadership skills. After two years of challenging and applied learning experience at SCB, I embarked upon my journey for MBA at my Alma Mater. MBA at IBA has been an enriching experience that had added to my creativity and analytics, team work and tolerance, intellectuality and versatility, communication and networking, positive outlook and personal integrity. Learning at IBA has never been confined to class room lectures. IBA provided me the unparalleled opportunity to broaden my horizons of learning by case studies, real life projects and interactive sessions with experienced faculty with a broad knowledge base complemented by rich practical experience and students from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds. My graduate project on Hospital Waste Management has enabled me in getting an insight into the enigma of bureaucratic machinery, the predicament of private sector and associated untapped opportunities. Poised for graduation, I envision myself working in a conductive environment that encourages innovation and critical thinking, where I can fuse the acquired academic knowledge with rigorous practical experience to further hone my erudition and skills. I intend to advance my career in a professional and dynamic organization where I can leverage my experience to promote growth and learning for self, team and the organization. 2015 P-160 MBA 2015 Institute of Business Administration, Karachi 3.78* BBA-MIS 2011 Institute of Business Administration, Karachi 3.52 Intermediate 2007 Defence Degree College for Women, Karachi A1 Matriculation 2005 Army Public School, Karachi A1 *CGPA up to the 2nd Semester EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
