In “It’s Not How Good You Are, It’s How Good You Want To Be”, Paul Arden writes “You can achieve the unachievable. Firstly you need to aim beyond what you are capable of. You must develop a complete disregard for where your abilities end. Try to do things that you are incapable of. If you think you are unable to work for the best company in the sphere, make that your aim. If you think you’re incapable of running a company, make that your aim. If you think you’re unable to be on the cover of Times Magazine, make it your business to be there. Make your vision of where you want to be in reality. Nothing is impossible”. ... Learn from yesterday and live in an improved today is what I am all about as a quote by Buddha says: “Each morning we are born again.

In “It’s Not How Good You Are, It’s How Good You Want To Be”, Paul Arden writes “You can achieve the unachievable. Firstly you need to aim
beyond what you are capable of. You must develop a complete disregard for where your abilities end. Try to do things that you are incapable of. If
you think you are unable to work for the best company in the sphere, make that your aim. If you think you’re incapable of running a company, make
that your aim. If you think you’re unable to be on the cover of Times Magazine, make it your business to be there. Make your vision of where you want
to be in reality. Nothing is impossible”. With uncertainties and doubts in my mind about what I wanted to do in life, I graduated from IBA with a bachelor’s
degree and landed as a Marketing Executive in one of the leading hospitality and leisure service providers of Pakistan. As a Marketing Executive, I
was involved in the planning and promotion of the different events/products/services by liaising with others peers at work. It was a social job that involved
socializing with individuals from within the department as well as other departments.
Whilst this was a great learning experience for me, my vision of what to do in life became clearer, I wanted to stay in this field only and with this clarity
came the realization that if I wanted to move ahead in life and develop professionally I had to go back to a business school. I didn’t want to go back to
a business school to just check a box and get an MBA degree. Rather I wanted to go back to accelerate my understanding of business and to broaden
my skill set and for that IBA was the best choice. During MBA, the extensive case study methodology helped me develop my analytical and problem
solving skills. One thing that I found lacking during my work tenure at my organization was the implementation of modern human resource practices.
This generated an interest in me to learn more about HR and during my MBA my interests dwelled towards a combination of Human Resources and
Marketing. My MBA project helped me to assess Engro Polymer’s live case about hospital waste management in Karachi in support of academic
principles. IBA taught me never to give up, to be strong and tough to face any and every kind of hardship in life whether personal or professional.
I am someone who takes each day as a new day. A new day is a new start for me. Learn from yesterday and live in an improved today is what I am
all about as a quote by Buddha says: “Each morning we are born again.
