Graduating in Mechanical Engineering is one of the major highlights of my life as it enabled me to obtain an insight into the world of engineering. During my years at NED University of Engineering and Technology, I came across certain subjects which really intrigued me. The field gave me a new perspective and broadened my horizons as to what could be possible; I wanted to work in industries which catered to national defense and prove my worth as an engineer who was dedicated to his country’s well-being. I was equally impressed with the opportunities and applications in the said industry and its competitive environment but, I felt I had reached a plateau in my industry. I later understood that this plateau could only be reached by an understanding and learning of the corporate and business environment. In order to grasp the relevant knowledge and skills to understand business in particular, getting an MBA degree seemed as the necessary requisite. Getting admission in IBA was the greatest achievement of my life. Certainly, IBA is the oldest and most reputable institute of Pakistan. It has a strong brand name with an Alumni network that is well established and spread out amongst multiple businesses both abroad and locally. Learning was not only confined to the classrooms, in fact with the addition of an excellent business curriculum, there were multiple opportunities to engage in various activities and enrich my experience. I wish to see my self in a growth oriented organization where I would be working in a challenging environment and where I could utilize my theoretical skills and blend those skills in terms of practical as well as operational processes. I personally feel that the MBA degree complemented with my engineering background will give me a competitive edge over others. My long term career objective is to work in a leading role for a multinational company which will allow me to augment my skills further and to prove myself as a valuable asset for the organization.
