PERSONAL STATEMENT
The ever changing business environment in today’s professional world
demands continuous up-gradation of skills and expertise. The statement
is even truer for professionals associated with the field of technology.
Technologies and frameworks are evolving with such a tremendous pace
to meet ever changing business requirements that as a software
professional, agility and continuous learning are of paramount
importance.
Having worked for a US based organization, I have had the opportunity
to work with team members of assorted nationalities. Collaborating with
these team members from different countries over time zone and
language differences to develop, integrate and implement CRM solutions
using limited resources was an exhilarating experience for me. These
accomplishments, I believe, would not have been possible without my
passion to learn and contribute to my field.
My motivation to upgrade my skills through an MBA was influenced by
both the need for continuous learning and the changing management
paradigm. The paradigm in which a software engineer’s role is not
limited to technological extent only but there is an inexorable need to
make a higher impact on the organization. I believe that in order to be
ready to manage multi-faceted job roles in today’s organizations, a
business degree is imperative due to its propensity to address matters
with a broader perspective and nurture the ability to contribute at many
levels in an organization.
Having pursued my MBA at the premiere business school, I have had the
opportunity to learn from individuals from diverse professional and
academic backgrounds. The learning acquired inside and outside the
classrooms would help me effectively contribute towards achievement of
organizational goals. From solving a complex software issue, to
providing informed advice on innovation, to increasing the effectiveness
of my peers, to understanding customers’ needs better, my specialization
in software engineering coupled with the versatility of my business
degree would help me become one of the key contributors to
organizational success.
