Interests / quote
Apart from academics, I have been an avid academic free lancer since 2010 as it allows me to read up on different subjects in detail and stay up-to-date with research areas. It has helped me hone my research and writing skills and learn multitasking, organizing, meeting deadline and paying attention to details. I was fortunate enough to land into a prestigious and competitive institution like IBA for my bachelors’ degree where I always learned to be dissatisfied with the status quo and not being complacent at what I have already achieved. The institute has always pushed me through academics, extracurricular activities and the professional work experience we had to seek through internships; to bring about the best in me and unleash my fullest potential. During my 2-year Fellowship experience at Teach For Pakistan, I have learnt to passionately pursue my goals no matter how challenging the work environment is. Being a Teaching Fellow in a public school, I have learnt to respect people, to persevere, be humble and calm, yet constantly work towards the mission of the organization. The Fellowship experience has helped me grow to a much better and refined human being which I am today. During my experience as a Recruitment & Selection Coordinator at Teach For Pakistan, I challenged myself on different fronts by leading a number of projects and taking initiatives wherever gaps existed. The experience polished my ability to confront large audiences, work effectively in a team, and conduct effective conversations. I decided to pursue my MBA degree when I realized the significance of a terminal degree which would always help me differentiate from others. With an MBA degree, a three-year work experience and differentiated soft skills, I am seeking to work in an organization which harnesses my skills, allow me to grow and provides enabling environment to unleash my potential.
