Having done my Intermediate in engineering, I opted to switch to business side of studies for my professional education. My bachelors in Public Administration helped me understand the secret of successful organizations i-e treating Human Resource as an asset as a productive and efficient human asset is the only competitive advantage that cannot be replicated. My experience with SUPARCO taught me how to align different operations of Human Resource Management to the ultimate goal of building, maintaining and enhancing the Human Capital. At SUPARCO, I was primarily responsible for handling the activities of Promotion Board and conducting appraisals on annual basis. Besides I was involved in development, implementation and monitoring of HR policies and SOPs and assisting Head of HR to present the new idea/policy before the commission/lead team of the organization. This in particular was a very enriching experience as it allowed me to link the ideas and theories related to compensation, benefits, awards, promotion and other functions into practice. Having worked in HR Department for over a year, I realized that a more holistic view of business is required to be a leader hence I joined IBA to diversify and develop my knowledge of leading and managing organizations. IBA with students of diversified background gave me an opportunity to interact with different people with different ideas. The learning isn’t confined to classrooms only. With various projects and teaching methods at IBA, I could relate my work experience of Efficise as Offshore Business Analyst and P&G as a Supply Network Operations Internee where I designed a Daily Management System for Procter & Gamble (Agility) warehouse to deal with orders placed by Customer Services Operations (CSO) department, devised a forecasting tool that catered for any significant impacts, Evaluated shipment lanes and shared cost saving techniques and other projects. From being a part of an organization as prestigious as P&G to being a member Human Resource Team of an organization as gigantic as SUPARCO, I have developed unique skill set that will help me thrive me through my career and I intend to use it for an organization who values their human resource and believes in initiatives and responsibility so that the organizations grows stronger and I keep growing with it.
