PERSONAL STATEMENT

My life so far has been focused to achieve excellence in a career which 
demands struggle and patience. Failures in my life, so far, have proved to 
be a great asset in my personal grooming and growth. I hail from a simple 
middle class family. My father, who has been a great mentor throughout 
my life, provided me with an outclass education of Cambridge system. 
Being a visionary and educated man, my father has always dreamt big and 
given great emphasis over my education. A Strong academic foundation 
helped me in getting admission in 2007 into one of the leading business 
institution of Pakistan i.e. IBA Karachi. I did my BBA in Finance and then 
threw myself into the market to test the waters. Being young, energetic 
and hardworking, I proved my worth as a valuable asset for a top rated 
DFI i.e. Pak-Brunei Investment Company Limited. I performed my duties 
as a relationship associate for its Corporate Banking Group for 1 year. 
Later, I got the esteemed opportunity to work for State Bank of Pakistan in 
its Management Apprenticeship Attachment Program. This was perhaps a 
difficult decision as the perks and privileges that I enjoyed in Pak-Brunei 
Investment Company were far greater than that in SBP-BSC. However, as 
it is wisely said that only the roughest roads lead to the top, I began to 
appreciate that if I want to excel in my career, it is imperative to take such 
opportunities and not worry about punitive monetary gains. Undoubtedly, 
my experience proved a great learning curve for me, as I was posted in 
various departments throughout my stay of 2 years in SBP-BSC.
So far, the objective in my life has been as simple as a pie and that is to 
improve my knowledge bank as much as I can through continuous 
experience and diverse learning opportunities. Hence, in MBA I took 
electives from diverse fields which include Finance, Marketing, Human 
Resource, Supply Chain Management. It is pertinent to mention that in 
MBA, my core electives include Finance and Marketing. In Finance, I tried 
to explore its more specific and growth oriented aspects which include 
Islamic Banking and Finance, Financial Modeling and Industrial 
Economics. 
My vision for the next 10 years of life is to gain excellence in the field of 
Investment Strategy and Finance in general. In order to achieve such 
perfection, I plan to acquire professional certifications and broad 
professional exposure. I thoroughly believe that perfection in the field of 
Finance will help me to excel in my career. As the saying goes;
“True success is a silent inner process that can empower the mind, heart 
and soul through strong aspiration for great achievement.”
