Interests / quote
Coming from thousands KMs to IBA-Karachi was a major decision that I took in my life mainly because of two reasons. First was networking as IBA's long establishment guarantees the strong alumni bond with the corporate world. Secondly to develop the deep insight and know-how of business world, one should be well primed for any unforeseen change and to tackle that paradigm shift, business schools are using the right technique that is ‘Case Method of Teaching’. This method allows you to have a strong grasp on every aspect of business world prior to real life experiences, which was a main purpose to pursue an MBA degree. IBA has a distinctive approach of teaching especially for business students and that is bridging the academic paradigms with the corporate world, faculty from corporate world instill their experiences and make the students understand the most relevant paradigms rather than relying only on bookish material. My professional experience started with a construction company back in 2010; because of Saith (Sole Owner) culture the company wasn’t utilizing its full potential. I joined the company with a distinctive perspective, which was to make it one of the best by introducing some new paradigms, and I successfully did. The change process started by setting corporate strategy, well-defined hierarchy, proper marketing, formal structures and systems. All of those changes gave a boost to the company and we’d become partners majorly with World Food Program (WFP), The Asia Foundation (TAF), and International Organization of Migration (IOM). After one successful triumph I decided to move to some superior and broader organization where I can further enhance my personal and professional skills, and I was offered an opportunity at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). Working at country’s prestigious executive development center (REDC) and building the networks with students, and executives broaden my sense of purpose. Realizing the purpose enhanced my dedication and hence I aligned my goals with the organization and consequently REDC became partner with several new national and international companies including Printcare-Sri Lanka, Telenor Pakistan, Hush Puppies Pakistan, and Lucky Cement Pakistan. I believe in the open system theory, which says quality inputs produce quality outputs, that is rich principles of portfolio in any organization while constantly putting significant individual efforts in order to make a purposeful organization, which will sustain for centuries.
