Interests / quote
Educated at one of the most reputed business schools of the country, I entered the corporate world armed with a degree from IBA and the passion to explore new horizons. This is well reflected in my work experiences, ranging from the challenging yet adrenaline-pumping world of a start-up to the competitive landscape of a multinational company. While some may see joining a start-up at the onset of one’s career as a risky move, there can be no teacher better than experience itself. Working at Daraz.pk (a Rocket Internet GmbH venture) was an exciting stint, the scope for individual contribution significant during the formative years of a venture, without the constraint of chalked out job responsibilities. Meanwhile, my next move exposed me to the fascinating world of Supply Chain, which became my true calling, in a much deeper manner. At Unilever, I was responsible for the management of Production Planning for top brands such as Sunsilk, Fair & Lovely, Ponds and Dove etc. I was lucky to learn Supply Chain Management skills at an FMCG that is a global leader in this arena, teaching me how to handle uncertainties, deal with diverse teams and take timely decisions that can affect the health of the business in the long run. Supply Chain Management is everywhere; from the housewives who manage inventory in their kitchen to huge companies such as Amazon that strive to provide the right product to the customer at the right time and place in a cost-effective manner. Today, top companies are competing against each other on the grounds of competitive advantage borne out of superior Supply Chain practices. Supply chain management is critical to business operations and success in a global environment, hence becoming an area that cannot be ignored by any company aiming at global expansion. I am excited to continue working in the domain of supply chain and adding to my skill set along the way. My objective is to seek challenges which will utilize my meticulous attention to detail as well as understanding and knowledge of business processes, acquired through work experience and educational endeavors, to take the organization closer to its goals.
